It’s official the Buffalo Sabres traded Brain Campbell to the San Jose Sharks for Steve Bernier and a first-round draft pick. I think that it was a smart move even though they lost there all-star defensmen they got something for him instead of losing him to free agency. Also they won’t have to pay him the money that he would have been offered so they can sign other people now. Other big trades that with the trade deadline approaching were Atlanta Thrasher’s Marian Hossa to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Colby Armstrong, Erik Christensen, Angelo Espostio and a first round pick. Also Tampa Bay traded Brad Richards and Johan Holmqvist to the Dallas Stars for Mike Smith, Jussi Jokinen and Jeff Halpern.
