Sad ending to a pretty special career last night. Alonzo Mourning tore the patellar tendon in his knee last night basically ending his career. I’ve never been a big fan of “Zo” since he was at Georgetown, but you have got to give this guy credit for his heart. He’s been a warrior on and off the court and battled back from things that most people would have quit long ago for. If I am the Miami Heat, I get him to the point where he can step on the court in a game, put him in, call timeout and let the fans of Miami give him the ovation he deserves.
In true fashion last night, he wouldn’t leave the court on a stretcher. He didn’t want to leave his career that way.
