three and a half months… the most exciting three and a half months i can remember as far as college football goes. The season was unbelievable… yet, here we are, and at the end of the day it just doesn’t sit right… I’m not a fan of the BCS system, but thus far it has, in my opinion, pretty much gotten the title game right every year. And I can’t exactly say it didn’t get it right this year, but that’s the problem… I can’t say it got it right or wrong… I was hoping for Mizzou to take care of OU and WV to actually be the normal WV… Those two teams with generally outstanding offenses would’ve been a great game to watch… Now i’m left with LSU (who I like alot) and Ohio State (who puts me to sleep).
Everyone knows that a playoff system, while still flawed, would be better than this system… even the proponents of the BCS know a playoff is best, they just won’t admit it. But this is the first year that I actually am annoyed that they don’t have a playoff, because, again it has previously worked out for the most part… the best teams have been named Champions…
Oh well… we’ll all still watch… so in the end the BCS wins.

I agree with you on part of the
teams that are playing for the bcs title, but I don’t agree
on the teams that are playing for the title. I don’t think a team that loses twice as the number one ranked team in the country (LSU) should play and I don’t think a team that sits idol for two weeks should either but, by records and voters they differ. UGA that was ranked 10th at the begining of the season loses one game and falls to the bottom in rankings works it way back up the rankings loses another game and stills ends up in the top five should have had thier chance at the title game. Then there is Hawaii who went undefeated and they are not in the title game something is seriously wrong with the BCS. Even though you have to look at Hawaii’s schedule. So all in all all I can do is stay a die hard SEC fan and hope the SEC teams can win all 8 bowl games they are in.

Most of us LSU fans are down for the playoff system apparently after the shenanigans with USC a few years back. Being a ‘first time college sports fanatic’ this year and “fanatic” now fits with my new found outlook towards college football, I don’t see how it shouldn’t go to a playoff system.
