By now, those of us that went through the 40 Days of Hope in Max Lucado’s 3:16 completed it today. We still need to finish the journaling of the days on the 40 days page, but I really enjoyed the study. There is something unique about going through it with other guys and reading their insights on the web. With that in mind, I’ve got an idea for the next step in our study process together.
I recently finished reading the book “Quiet Strength” by Tony Dungy. This is a MUST READ if you get the chance. Outstanding book. In one of the chapters, he spoke of doing a year long study of the book of Nehemiah. I did a little research and found a breakout that would last us about 19 days. I figure if we start it on Monday, November 12th, it would take us right to the end of November. All you need is a Bible and a few quiet moments each day. So, who is with me? I love Nehemiah! You can count me in. What do you think about memorizing one verse from each chapter that captures the heart of that chapter? Thanks for the challenge!
Sounds good to me on the memorizing of verses. Any recommendations on which ones?
My commitment level on 3:16 was pitiful, so I am slightly reluctant. But we’ll see how it goes. Work has become a little busier lately.
