  1. Bummer…no Raiders? Without Jamarcus, we will be terrible at best. Liked the pick up of Culpepper though. Better than Tunasouppssea our whatever his name was. Al Davis needs to be put out to pasture. Commitment to Excellence baby!

It pains me to say it, but I think the Cleveland Browns will be much improved this year as well. That’s my hometown team from growing up so you always watch their moves. Their O-line is much improved and Lewis is a bruising back they have been missing. Could be interesting.

    Go RAIDAAZZZZ

  2. Dude. Dallas will roll everyone this year. Including the Giants.

  3. i’m a little leary about jamarcus. Picking up Dante was smart. Cle will be interesting and if Air McNair shows he is getting too old, they may make the jump out of last place, but I just don’t see it this year. Maybe next year…

I think Dallas will do well, but I’ve decided not to get my hopes up for them at all… they had two straight years of huge collapses, but I think that was more about Big Bill than anything else.

  4. I’m a born and raised Texan who is NOT a Cowboys fan. Though I live in Temple now, Houston is my home town. Even though the Oilers and Texans have been historically mediocre teams at best, I still have to root for my homies. I’ve got high hopes for Kubiak. Having said that, Wade is cut from good cloth and may just bring something that’s been missing from the Cowboys since the Tom Landry days. Class. Wade’s track record is not that great as the head guy, but I would like to see him do well in his home state.

  5. I think you made a mistake in the AFC South.
Jax should be first or second in that division.

The 49ers might just win their division. I agree on their playoff birth.

As for Jamarcus, I’ll be the first to call him a “bust” before he even plays a down. He never made good decisions at LSU with the football, and his holdout proves his still sucks at making decisions.

  6. the AFC South was tough to pick. I think behind Indy it could really end up any combination. Houston and Tenn should improve where it counts (QB), where as Jax still can’t figure out what they want to do there. I see all three of those teams having a chance for 7-9 wins. Law of averages say that one of them will end up in the 5-7 win range, so… who knows…

  7. Houston and Tenn are not even close to the same talent level at Jax. Schaub and Vince Young cannot make up for those teams’ problems on defense.

The 44-17 beating that Jax put on Indy in week 14 was not a fluke. ear. With half the defense banged up on ‘06, and Leftwich missing a bunch of games I can see why you’d have your doubts.

Let’s put it this way. Odds of winning the AFC South:

    Jax 3:1
    Tenn 15:1
    Hou: 22:1

    Odds from Pinnacle Sports.

  8. You mean Jamarcus won’t be the Raiders Savior? Man! (LOL). Before Dante (and that ain’t saying much), he was the only one with an ounce of talent at QB. McCown might not be all that bad either. I mean, this is the team that signed JEFF GEORGE last year for a cup of coffee before releasing him a week later. They might have signed Marinovich this year, but he just got picked up by the law again….

Our head coach isn’t old enough to buy smokes and beer. Our owner shouldn’t be trusted with a remote control, let alone a franchise. But hey, Warren Sapp came to camp in great shape….

Gonna be another long year in Oakland. Commitment to Excellence!!!

I still say it was a fumble. There was NO TUCK…..

    I’m not bitter.

  9. Watch out for the Bills this year. They’re looking pretty strong.
