Ok guys…just to lighten things up a little bit. Let’s play “Girly-man Song Confessional”.
Name two or three songs you like, but would never admit to your tailgating buddies.
I’ll start.
“Summer Place” reminds me of when I was a little boy riding in the car with my parents; not to mention, it’s just a beautiful piece of music. That’s right…I said it.
Oh yeah…there are more…

David – only here could you claim that. Man we are cut from the same cloth. I have never been a fan of Kiss. Just never made the connection. However, “Beth” is a song that is just awesome. I actually used that in a post over a year ago http://armswideopen.net/2006/06/08/wild-boys/
I really have no clue why I have always liked that song, but no doubt about it, “Beth” is a favorite of mine as well.
I will just paint the rest with the broad brush of saying that my iPod has Barry Manillo, Neil Diamond and Air Supply in it too….
Just don’t tell any one.
Anyone ever hear of Enya?
How about The Carpenters?
Celine Dion?
Sarah McLachlan?
Someone stop me please!
Enya – any Irish female singer works for me!
Sarah McLachlan is awesome.
Carepenters (ahem, yes…me too)
Old Bee Gees anyone?

Dude, you stole Beth. So that’s one. Do You Feel Like We Do?- Peter Frampton. Serious chick tune, in the day. Sorry, girly tune. That’d be two.
Wow…looks like “Beth” is more popular than I thought. I was never a Kiss fan either, but, like you Aaron, there’s just something about the song.
Kurt, sorry I saw her (Beth) first!
How about “Kiss the Girl” from Little Mermaid??? Ahh, the Carribean sounds…
Oh, shouldn’t have posted that. I think that’s like 20 strikes for the girly woosie man for that…
You guys are cracking me up. Seriously.
“I’m not a girl, Not yet a woman” by Britney “the train wreck” Spears for some reason speaks to me..
This is just sick. Someone kill this thread before it gets into the wrong hands!!
Carrie Underwood’s entire debut album is literally one of the best I own. It is just awesome (lyrically speaking).
Tracy Chapman, Alicia Keys, 10,000 Maniacs and Natalie Merchant…..
Dear John- Yoko Ono
