It’s deja vu all over again in Yankeeland. May 1967, Mickey Mantle hits his 500th home run in front of the home crowd.

August 2007, forty years later, Alex Rodriguez hits his 500th home run in front of the home crowd.

I have been witness to both of these events. The parallels to them are unquestionable.

This along with Barry Bonds poised to break the all-time home run record of Henry Aaron, and Tom Glavine joining the 300 win club; it seems that all is well with baseball.

And the Yankees. Looking forward to seeing Joe Torre manage the American League team at the 2008 All Star game. He can win one in front of the home town crowd .
