In the early seventies, th![]()
ere was a hockey league called the NAHL- North American Hockey League. Great hockey! My hometown team was the Broome Dusters. Broome for the county, and Dusters for the, well, dust on the ice. The logo on the jersey was created by Johnnie Hart, another homegrown, and creator of BC and The Wizard Of Id comicstrips.
Like I said it was great hockey. Lotsa’ blood, and lotsa’ great players. If I decide to come back to this at a later date, I will do a short list of some of the great players, not this time though. One thing I will leave you with though is this. There was a movie made about this league. Great movie too. Fairly accurate.
